RJS Corporation, established over 75 years ago in Akron, Ohio, is a worldwide supplier of supporting equipment to the tire industry. RJS designs, fabricates, and ships its products from its over 50,000 square foot facility in Green, Ohio.
Akron has a long history of rubber and tire manufacturing by Firestone, BF Goodrich, General Tire, and Goodyear giving Akron the nickname the “Rubber Capital of the World.” Early in its existence, the company produced welding guns and siding cutters before entering the tire industry. Since the early 1960s, RJS has supplied the world’s tire manufacturers with innovative machines for production of tires including its sentinel product – the tension controller for creel systems used to produce radial-belted tires.
Although most often supplying machinery to the tire industry, RJS also develops and manufactures custom new products and product-improvements for industry. RJS designs-to-spec or builds-to-print unique parts or equipment tailored to a customer’s needs. Our business philosophy is to offer high quality parts and products which are not commonly available from others.
